May 17-18, 2012: The Twelfth International ROSE Seminar

As a part of the Centre for Post-Graduate Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology programme (internationally known as ROSE programme), an International Seminar is organised every year, to provide the students with an opportunity to present and discuss their research work to an audience of international experts.

In addition to standard presentations on research work carried out within the Programme, the annual Seminars feature also the tradition of inviting a prominent scientist to deliver a keynote lecture on a given contemporary and highly relevant topic in the field of Earthquake Engineering.
At this year’s event, such keynote address will be delivered Professor Alain Pecker, (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées),  with the title “Earthquake design of foundations: recent developments from research to practice".

The Seminar coincides also with the main Graduation and Diploma Award Ceremony of the ROSE Programme and the Award of ROSE Prize 2012.

The seminar will be held at Collegio Cardinale Agostino Riboldi - Via L. Porta n.10, PAVIA.

May 18th, 2012: Seminar "Behavioural Law and Economics" New!!!

The fourth  conference of the cycle organized by IUSS Doctorate Programme in Economy, law and institutions will be held on Friday, May 18th, 2012 and will be conducted by:

> Daniela Grieco: "Legitimate punishment, feedback, and the enforcement of cooperation" - Università degli Studi di Verona

> Matteo Migheli: "Women in Piracy: behavioural perspective on copyright infringement" - Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale

The seminar will take place at Aula Magna of the Institute for Advanced Study (IUSS) - Viale Lungo Ticino Sforza 56, Pavia at 11,00.

June 15 and 17, 2012: Graduate Seminars at Ne.T.S. IUSS-UniSR Ph. D. in Cognitive Neuroscience and Philosophy of Mind

The seminars are organized by the Neurolinguistics and Theoretical Syntax research center at IUSS (Ne.T.S.) within the activities of the Phd programme in "Cognitive Nuerosciences and Philosophy of the Mind" (jointly organized with the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Milano).

The Seminar "Inquadramento tipologico dell'ayoreo (zamuco)" will be held on 15th and17th May 2012 at  IUSS, Viale Lungo Ticino Sforza 56, Pavia.
