Andrea graduated at University of Pavia (Italy) with an MSc in Industrial Biotechnology, carrying out his thesis in a Bioinorganic laboratory, under the supervision of Professor Luigi Casella, on neuromelanin synthetic models. Andrea worked as a research fellow, at Istituto di Tecnologie Biomediche-CNR of Segrate (Milan, Italy), carrying out a project on preparation and characterization of synthetic melanins with proteins, lipids and metal ions as human Neuromelanin models. He has working experience in bioinorganic chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology. He is a good user of UV-vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, NMR spectrometer, fluorimeter, circular dichroism spectroscopy, HPLC-mass spectrometer. Currently he is a IUSS PhD student in Biomolecular science and Biotechnology. From 16/10/2017 to 26/03/2018 he is working as exchange PhD student at the Yale School of Medicine under the supervision of Professor Douglas Brash.
